Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with the curriculum team to design and refine course materials that cover the essentials of drag, including makeup techniques, costume design, performance art, and drag history.

Stay abreast of current trends and innovations within the drag community to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and inspiring.
Instructional Delivery:

Conduct engaging and interactive classes, delivering content with passion and expertise.

Facilitate hands-on workshops to develop practical skills, such as makeup application, costume creation, and stage presence.
Individualized Support:

Offer personalized guidance to students, recognizing their unique strengths and areas for improvement.

Performance Coaching:

Provide coaching on performance techniques, stage presence, and persona development.

Assist students in developing and refining their drag personas, helping them express their unique identities.

Join our dynamic team at Drag Academy as an Instructor and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of drag performers. Drag Academy is dedicated to providing comprehensive and empowering education in the art of drag, fostering creativity, confidence, and inclusivity within the drag community. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative classes, workshops, and practical sessions, guiding students through the various facets of drag performance.

Compensation:
This is a contract-based position. Facilitators are paid as independent contractors. Our standard fee for artists is $125.00/ hr

Deliver DEI training programs that address the unique needs and perspectives of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.

Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, using a variety of teaching methods and tools virtually and in-person

Foster a safe and respectful learning environment that encourages participants to share their experiences and perspectives

Provide guidance and support to participants on how to apply DEI principles and strategies in their work and daily lives

Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, and make improvements as needed

Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and trends related to DEI and LGBTQ+ issues

Experience as a drag artist a HUGE asset

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. education, psychology, social work, human resources)

Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and delivering DEI training programs, with a focus on LGBTQ+ issues

Demonstrated expertise in LGBTQ+ issues, including a deep understanding of the experiences, needs, and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and communities

Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and participants

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, and a passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of life
LGBTQ+ Facilitator for DEI Training
We seek a skilled and passionate independent Facilitator to deliver Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training programs to businesses, organizations, educational institutions, and community groups. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the experiences, needs, and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and communities and expertise in delivering effective training programs.
